Dental Hygienist
An Integrated Clinical Services (ICS) Dental Hygienist provides direct periodontal and dental hygiene treatment and education in oral health maintenance and disease prevention to dental clinic patients and the community. The dental hygienist is an integral member of the dental program and participates in many aspects of clinical operations, including disease control, prevention, sterilization, as well as infection control, scheduling, evaluating and improving workflows, among other duties. Creates a work culture of respect, trust and understanding for the highly diverse populations the Health Department serves in the office and in the community.
We are currently recruiting for the following positions:
- Full time clinical hygienist (1.0 FTE = 40 hrs / week)
- Monday - Thursday @ Southeast Health Center
- Tuesday - Thursday @ Southeast Health Center
- * days may be flexible
- EPDH NOT required
- Full-time clinical Hygienist (0.8 FTE = 32 hours/week)
- Monday - Thursday @ Fernhill Health Center
- EPDH required
- Mobile clinic Hygienist ( 0.8 FTE = 32 hours/week)
- Monday - Thursday
- Monday and Tuesday 10am - 6:30pm
- Wednesday and Thursday 8am - 4:30pm
- EPDH required
- Location varies at multiple community partners around Multnomah County
- On-call Clinical Hygienist
- must be available to cover at least 2 clinic days/month
