Compensation: 55-65 DOE

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, sealants, and fluoride treatments.
  • Conduct oral health assessments and take X-rays as needed.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care.
  • Collaborate with dentists to develop and implement patient treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols and sterilization of dental instruments.
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records
  • Monitor supply levels & contribute to restocking hygiene rooms
  • Stay updated on the latest dental practices and technologies through continuing education

Skills

  • Experience as an empathetic and compassionate hygienist
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA/OHSA)
  • Critical thinking
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Knowledge of dental conditions
  • Ability to observe both auditory and visually
  • Good time management/organizational skills
  • Valid Oregon hygiene license; nitrous oxide license a plus
  • Proficiency in commonly used dental software; Dentrix and Weave a plus
